My name is Marila Zanella, I am an artist who loves to tell emotions through soft, welcoming and surprising forms. Each of my works comes to life from a precise emotion, transformed into a seat - a sofa or an armchair - that becomes a sculpture, a story, a refuge.

Empathy and simplicity are the values that guide my creative path. Nature, with its perfect and silent beauty, is my main inspiration: I observe its balances, its curves, its contrasts, and I try to translate them into fabric, with techniques I have personally devised to shape the fabric as a sculptor does with marble.

Since childhood I have lived immersed in nature, and this has taught me to observe, listen and create. Creativity has always been a part of me, and over the years I have refined personal techniques that today allow me to shape new, never-before-seen works. These are creations born to be experienced: an art that can be touched, welcomed, used. A personal and original language that overcomes the distance between viewer and work, and transforms the artistic experience into something intimate and everyday.
