Primavera

This work was created as a heartfelt tribute to spring — a season that holds deep personal meaning for me. Spring represents rebirth, awakening after darkness, and the real possibility of a new beginning. It is the time of year when everything comes back to life, when nature renews itself and gently reminds us that we too can change, bloom, and transform.

I chose to express this feeling through a small armchair — an intimate, domestic object that, in Primavera, becomes a symbol of transformation. From its black backrest — evoking winter, stillness, and silence — the first flowers begin to emerge: delicate yet determined signs of hope and vitality. This visual contrast represents the very moment something inside us begins to stir again.

The piece is entirely handmade, like all my works. After years of study and practice, I’ve developed a technique that allows me to shape fabric with the same precision and sensitivity as a sculptor works with marble. For me, materials are never merely decorative; they are the medium through which I tell stories of emotion, inner states, and personal vision.

Primavera is my personal celebration of this extraordinary season. Through it, I aim to make visible what spring means to me: light after darkness, motion after stillness, and the enduring beauty of life’s many possible renewals.
